Trio Klein are dedicated to innovative programming, and enjoy a busy and diverse international schedule. Their groundbreaking ‘Trio Klein’s 80s Night’ programme, which places classical trios alongside arrangements of minimalist works and pop songs from the same decade was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3; elsewhere they have been featured in Classical Music Magazine, The Strad and on RAI TV, and were Artists in Residence at University of Surrey 2023/2024. Violinist Kamila Bydlowska, violist Shiry Rashkovsky and cellist Ella Rundle bring with them a wealth of musical and artistic experience including numerous international festival engagements such as Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, disc recordings for NMC, Toccata Classics and October House Records, and appearances on BBC Radio 4 and New York’s WQXR.

Kamila Bydlowska - Violin

Described as ‘a true musician of today’s generation’ (Lark Reviews), Polish-born and London-based violinist Kamila Bydlowska performs as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborator across multiple genres.

She has appeared in venues and festivals in Europe, Asia and America, including the Royal Albert Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Jazz Cafe, iTunes Festival in London, Holywell Rooms in Oxford, KIOI Hall in Tokyo, Tengiz Amirejibi International Music Festival in Tbilisi, Georgia; iPalpiti Festival of International Laureats in Los Angeles, Midem Festival in Cannes, UK International Tango Festival and London Electronic Arts Festival.

Kamila made the world- first recordings of the Violin Concertos by the 20th Century British composers William Wordsworth and Arnold Griller with Liepaja Symphony Orchestra (Latvia) on the Toccata Classics label, released in August 2019 and January 2021. Other recent concerto engagements include Bruch, Sibelius, Bartok as well as Szymanowski, Arnold, Ethel Smyth.

She broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM (UK), WNYC (New York), RAI (Italy) & Japanese TV. A multiple winner of awards, she is the recipient of the Ministry of Culture of Poland Scholarship and Artistic Excellence Award from Indiana University.

Born in Slupca, central Poland into a family of non-musicians, at seven she started to play the violin and went on to study on a full scholarship at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington,USA with Mauricio Fuks and Kevork Mardirossian and Royal College of Music in London with Ani Schnarch.

Shiry Rashkovsky - Viola

Lauded by The Strad for her ‘thrilling and exuberant’ Royal Festival Hall debut, Shiry pursues an international and diverse career.

Her recording of Kate Whitley’s Viola Concerto (dedicated to her) with the Multi-Story Orchestra and Christopher Stark for NMC Recordings was hailed as ‘fearless’ by the Guardian, while her EP, ‘Erlkönig/Erl-King’ (October House Records) was featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘New Music Show’. She regularly performs in the world’s greatest concert halls, and has broadcast for BBC1, 2 and 4, WQXR, and RAI.

In demand as a chamber musician, Shiry is invited to international festivals including Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, where she has performed with Adrian Brendel, Ian Brown, Thomas Gould, Viviane Hagner, Pekka Kuusisto, Min Jin Kym and David Waterman, among others. She has broadcast live in ensemble with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Atar Arad, Stephan Barratt-Due, Vadim Gluzman, Rudolf Koelman, Shlomo Mintz; performed with Sacconi Quartet; and has featured in Cadogan Hall’s ‘Rising Stars’ series.

Dedicated to innovation in programming, Shiry is the founder and Artistic Director of Up Close and Musical festival, which in its inaugural year, 2021, featured some of the biggest names in the classical, jazz and electronica scenes, and has been featured in Classical Music Magazine, The Strad, BBC Radio 3, Scala Radio and other major outlets.

Shiry has recently commissioned: viola/voice duo composed by and recorded with Héloïse Werner; a words-and-music programme by Jessica Duchen celebrating the cross-cultural friendship between Ralph Vaughan Williams and Jewish violist Lionel Tertis, recently performed at Three Choirs Festival and featured in The Strad and on Scala Radio; and a viola quintet by Errollyn Wallen, premiered with the Solem Quartet (generously supported by the Vaughan Williams Foundation, Hinrichsen Foundation and Marchus Trust).

Sharing her expertise with aspiring young musicians, Shiry was appointed to the string faculty at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2024, and teaches viola at Royal Holloway, University of London. She read Social and Political Sciences at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, and obtained her MMus and ArtDip at RCM, studying with Natasha Boyarska and Ian Jewel.

Ella Rundle - Cello

Described as a performer of ‘infectious passion’ (Ottawa Citizen), Ella Rundle is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the UK, Europe, and further abroad.

She has toured extensively with various chamber ensembles and has been broadcasted on BBC Radio 3, Portuguese Radio RTP, and SWR Germany. She has been invited to perform at festivals such as Fête de la Forêt Musicale (France), Festival Pontiac Enchante (Ottawa), Birdfoot Festival (New Orleans), Thy (Denmark), and Viana (Portugal).

Ella is prize winner of the 2015 Philip and Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists; as 2013/14 Tillett Trust Young Artist she gave debut performances in venues such as the Purcell Room, Snape Maltings, Holywell Music Rooms and Wigmore Hall. Recent performances also include the concertos by Elgar, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak and Haydn.

Ella has been invited as guest principal cello to such orchestras as the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Royal Northern Sinfonia. She has also been a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra since 2015, where she enjoys a busy touring career around the world.

Ella studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Louise Hopkins and completed her Masters degree in 2013 at the Universität der Künste, Berlin, with Konstantin Heidrich. She is grateful to have held scholarships from the Countess of Munster, DAAD, Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, Drapers' Company and the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the English Speaking Union.
